Silicon O-ring and specially designed 'locking clip' allows use without grease and ensures an airtight seal. Flange lock holds the bottom and the lid together during non-vacuum conditions. Three-way stopcock provides great convenience for consistent vacuum draw, vacuum release or gas exchange e.g. inert gas. Maximum vacuum of 1.3 mbar (1.3 x 10-4 MPa) for more than 72 hours. Wide base provides superior stability. Hose connection outer diam. 9.5 mm.

For moisture reduction in desiccators and precision laboratory instruments. The transparent polypropylene dish allows visual inspection of silica gel, which changes in colour from blue to pale pink as it absorbs moisture. The desiccant can be easily regenerated by heating cartridges in an oven at 50°C overnight or at 100°C for 6 hours. For faster regeneration, remove the membrane lid, heat the spent gel crystals in a suitable glass or porcelain dish at 150°C in the oven for one hour.

Lower part is resistant to diluted acids, alkalis and other common desiccants. Vacuum connection at lower part. TFE stopcock is suitable for vacuum tubing 6.4mm i.d. For air tight sealing it is sufficient to grease sealing surface a little. No additional sealing ring is necessary. The additional rim at the bell prevents grease stains on lab benches.
