Powerful LED lighting arrays for blue (470 nm) and white (broad wavelength) illumination to image fluorescent and colorimetric gels. Through LED lights no ageing of UV bulbs and because of the inbuilt white LED array a separate white light table is not necessary. Well suited for teaching labs in universities and schools. Compatible with blue light excited safe DNA stains, as well as traditional stains such as ethidium bromide.

The Mini-Blue light Transilluminator uses harmless blue light to illuminate both traditional Ethidium bromide stained gels as well as safe stains. Slotting under any gel tank, but perfect for our MINI and MIDI sized multiSUB gel tanks. With an orange filter window to visualize DNA in real time within gel tanks, it is perfect for quickly checking PCR fidelity and restriction digest results. The device can also be used as a stand-alone transilluminator with the gel placed directly on the illuminator.
